O'Donovan Rossa Funeral Centenary

The State commemoration of the centenary of the funeral of Jeremiah O’Donovan Rossa will take place on Saturday 1st August 2015, in Glasnevin Cemetery, in the presence of Michael D. Higgins, President of Ireland. The event, which is being hosted by the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Heather Humphreys TD, will also be attended by An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny TD.
Spaces are limited but tickets can be purchased through the Glasnevin Trust Website.
South of Ireland Band Championships

Clonkilty will celebrate thirty-six years of the South of Ireland Band Championships on Saturday, July 4. The competition will take place at the Clonakilty Community College and Hall, to be followed by the eagerly-awaited recitals on the streets.
O'Donovan Rossa Commemoration

To mark the centenary of the death of Fenian hero Jeremiah O’Donovan Rossa Fianna Fail is hosting a commemoration ceremony including poetry, prose and music at his graveside in Glasnevin Cemetery on Monday 29th June 2015 at 7.30pm.
This event is free and the general public are welcome to attend.
Newbridge June Fest 2015

A fabulous afternoon with a rectial from St. James's Brass and Reed Band. There will be dancing on the street, arts and crafts, street, entertainment, food stalls, Garda Expo and Parade of Floats.
Newbridge June Fest 2015 is jam-packed with an amazing variety of events including Art, Music, History, Crafts, Story-telling, Heritage and much more. Running from June 2nd - 21st, this is a community event for all to enjoy.
